Edgar the Seagull- Pages 5-6 initial concept

Just to give an idea of the narrative project I've put up this image. Ignoring the text, which is still in the figuring out stage, in fact it all is, I really love the expressions that I've come up with for Edgar. I wanted to put this one up, purely as it is one of my favourites. I've been fiddling with line and definition, I'm feeling I'm more on track with this double page spread, but I still don't think I've got it yet. I won't be putting up all the images, but maybe a few more.
I do not own the font, just to clarify, it's "Kristen ITC" found in photoshop.
Enjoy!

Awaiting

This is another sketch from studio, in which I was looking into character design as well as simply how and what will occur in the animation. Even though I will not be focusing on the characters, it also helps to keep all aspects in my mind, as well as drawn out. If I want the background to portray the same style as the characters then it is good for me to draw out a few character ideas every now and again. As it is a sketch, a lot of it is out of proportion, and I really haven't considered any perspective or proper design. I do like the aspect of the storyline it is portraying, and I definitely know that it all leads towards finalising both style
and design.
Enjoy!

Simple Sailing

Very off topic from my concept drawings, but here is an image that I did up a few nights ago! I drew this up during studio, as part of my next independent project. The main plan is to draw up the background designs for a new animation, focusing on man made and natural environments. The actual storyline is  where this image is inspired from, as there is a wedding danced planned in the animation. I'm still not sure what the characters will look like, but I took the sketch and fiddled around in Photoshop. This is, of course, a really rough play around, and image. Obviously some of the proportions are out, as well as a few things just looking strange and awkward. I hope to come back to this image though, and re-do it more professionally.
Enjoy!

Seagull Audience of the Highest Esteem

Hi there! Well I have an assessment on concepts for the narrative tomorrow, Egar the Seagull, and in the midst of my drawing I came to draw these lovely little characters. Sadly they are only background characters but I thought they deserved their own little picture, purely because I really love how their expressions worked out! I really like the image and I hope that they enjoy a bit of fame before Edgar has his moment.
Enjoy !

Grandma-Dinosawr

So I haven't posted in a while (oops) and I still need to put up my final pieces from my Independent.
The reason for this is that I am planning on waiting until I try to re-do the project as the typography was too last second for it to have any sort of aesthetic appeal!
Holidays have come and gone, and with that came the Life Drawing intensive course, yay, and so I will put some pictures up once I figure out how to family friend the viewing, i.e. Warning signs.
So apart from all my rambling, I thought I would post one of my many "Dinosaur" pictures that I created over the summer holidays of  2011- 2012. My dinosaurs were never something I wanted to show publicly, purely because I didn't see them fitting into my style and there are about 200 of them. After seeing a positive reaction from Uni, I've dropped that barrier and I am now happy to bombard people with them.
Alright, enough rambling, hope you like it!
